This leading International Financial Organisation is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Claims Supervisor to join their team and lead the claims department. This role is a key position within the organization, looking after the team and managing partnerships across Europe. You will be responsible for overseeing the claims department, managing a team of claims handlers, and ensuring the smooth daily operations of claims processing from across Europe. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high service levels, fostering team development, and managing partner relations to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of claims handlers, providing coaching, support, and performance feedback.
- Ensure the claims department functions smoothly on a daily basis, meeting service levels and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with partners and stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Keep the team updated on the latest policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Drive process improvement initiatives within the claims department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Generate and analyse reports to monitor and report on the performance of the claims department.
- Manage SLAs.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to implement strategic goals and initiatives.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Third level education in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in claims management.
- Background in working with international organizations dealing with multiple markets.
- Flexibility to do some travel to countries of operation within the EU.
